Fun, Flexible, & Personalized Lessons

I offer private, in-home piano lessons for students ages 6 and up, welcoming all skill levels—from complete beginners to more advanced players. Lessons take place in the comfort of your home, making it easy and convenient for your child to learn in a familiar environment.

Lesson Materials:

  • The first session is a “get to know you” lesson, where I’ll assess your child’s current skill level and learning style to determine the best starting point.

  • Each lesson will focus on piano technique, music theory, and reading sheet music, helping students build a strong foundation.

  • Instruction is personalized based on your child’s goals and interests—whether they want to master classical pieces, play their favorite pop songs, or explore composing their own music.

  • You can choose from 30-minute, 45-minute, or 60-minute lessons.

  • Lessons are typically held once a week, but I’m happy to work with your schedule to find the best fit!

A Piano or Keyboard

  • Having a piano or keyboard at home is key to your child’s progress, as regular practice between lessons helps reinforce what they learn. A full-sized keyboard (88 keys) is ideal, but for beginners, a smaller five-octave keyboard (61 keys) works just fine!

A Notebook

  • I’ll use a notebook to keep track of lesson goals, practice assignments, and helpful notes for your child to reference throughout the week. This will stay with you at home so you can easily review progress and expectations.

Books & Music

  • I teach using Alfred’s Piano Series, the same books I learned from as a child! These books provide a strong foundation in both playing and music theory. Your child will use:

    • A lesson book with songs to play.

    • Two theory/workbook companions that teach note-reading and essential music concepts.

  • The set of three books costs approximately $30 on Amazon, and after getting to know your child’s skill level, I’ll recommend the best starting level—or purchase them for you!

Additional Music & Worksheets

  • Beyond the lesson books, I love incorporating personalized materials to keep lessons engaging. Any extra sheet music or worksheets will be provided free of charge to support your child's learning journey!

My goal is to make learning piano a fun and rewarding experience in a welcoming, stress-free environment. If you’re ready to get started, I’d love to meet your child and help them discover the joy of playing music—all from the comfort of your home!
